frameZlogoDigitalframez.com is an online electronic store, and currently, they have two main products to offer (more to come soon). One is the 'Digital Photo Frame' while the other is the "Portable DVD Player".

What caught my eye was the portable 10 inch DVD player. I immediately checked out its price. Hmmm about AUD$270, which sounds fair to me for a portable dvd system. But I needed to know what functions it had to offer.

First all, the system has a big screen measuring 10 inches, which equates to about 26.4cm. That's like 3/4 the length of my 17inch LCD monitor! This means you can watch your favourite movies with ease and clarity, say in the back seat of your car.

The machine offers superior video quality, and also delivers a built-in surround sound effect stereo speakers, coupled with Dolby Digital decoding. It also comes with an anti shock system just in case you happen to drop it in your car :)

You will not be disappointed because this portable dvd system supports most of the popular audio/video formats: MPEG4/DIVX/DVD/CD/MP3/CD-R/CD-RW/TV. Yes, even TV! So your system does not only play videos and movies, but it also doubles up as a picture viewer and music player! Wheee…Or burn your a few of your divx movies into a dvd-r, and play it back in this machine! Or how about that video of your wedding ceremony or birthday party that you're waiting to show your friends?

The built-in rechargeable lithium battery enables a continuous 4 hours playback, and should your battery run out during your car ride, there's a car charger provided which you can plug into that 12 volt car adaptor slot for some juice boost!

I find this particular product good, not only because it serves as al all-round entertainment system, but because this system is not localised within my vehicle. This means I can just decide to drive to a park, and while my movie's not finished, I can simply bring this machine out of my car, lay a picnic mat, and continue enjoying my dvds there. It is especially good for fairly long rides to East Coast Park/Pasir Ris Park (from Jurong, mind you!), and for picnics or barbecues too!

With it's ultra-slim design and a mere 3cm thickness, you are guaranteed mobility with this dream machine. I admit that I am so far impressed by what this product has to offer. And at an affordable price, I might consider purchasing one of these. It's for in-car entertainment for my passengers like my sisters, who enjoy watching those girly dvd shows. Yuck, don't they get tired of watching the same things repeatedly over again?

So what does this mean? Well, in my opinion, it means that you don't need to have an excuse for getting a PSP anymore. :P Why go for a smaller screen when you can have a much bigger one, at half the price? You decide.
