Pondering over your next anniversary gift?

Introduction

I would personally like to introduce you to Gem By Gems,  a humble business set up by my makchik Yanni and pakchik Hussain!
NO IT'S NOT PLASTIC.
Gem By Gems, or if you'd allow me to abbreviate it as GBG (no it's not gangbang!), deals with the custom making of jewellery. They provide a huge range of precious gemstones and have a variety of ring designs already available on their website which you can order. On top of that, they even take custom orders for those who want a special, personalised and fitting ring.

So what's the big deal sia?

Yeah, that was what I had thought initially. I see people selling jewelleries everywhere on the internet, so how is this any different? And GBG has been getting huge testimonials from their very satisfied customers, so I really had to check out what the big deal was.

So I browsed their website under the 'For Him' section, and I was impressed by the simple, elegant designs of the men's rings. Now, I am VERY picky with designs and colour combinations (my family and friends know this. lol). For me to be happy with almost all of the designs there reflects the kind of "fashion research" effort by GBG; that they're constantly up to date with the current trends. I guarantee plus confirm chop that GBG's stuffs are of designers' value!

In fact, I have my eyes on Him Design 0029 . Nice or not? :)

Hey, but how is this any different from SK jewellery or Goldheart?

I have contacted pakchik Hussain about my favourite men's ring, and received a prompt response the very next day. The price of the jewellery varies across the range, therefore there is no fixed price for one item. It depends on a customer's specifications for e.g. a diamond ring would cost lesser if the customer wants it in silver setting. I was slightly shocked by the price that he offered, particularly because the price is a serious discount as compared to those you'd find in local jewellery retail outlets.

I won't disclose the quoted price here. This is to be fair to GBG. If you want to find out, kindly email/call the pakchik himself. Safe to say, GBG's jewellery prices are at least 50-80% cheaper than the many local jewellery retail outlets!

Khairul, don't lie to me!
Okay, find something you like at GBG's website. Then, I want you to pay a visit to a local jewellery retail outlet and compare its price with a similar item there.

The reason why GBG can slash down their prices so low is because of their direct relationship with the supplier. Plus they buy wholesale. And they don't have rental fees or sales workers to pay. Get the picture? The middleman is eliminated, so therefore GBG is able to deliver outstanding prices to us all! Hurray, now that's a huge helper to counter those terrible GST hikes.

Okok, fair enough. But can be trusted or not this GBG?

Has anyone watched 'Men In Fire' starring Denzel Washington before? Every 'Le Hermandad' member would stake his claim by saying
Hey hey…I am a PROFESS-SSION-NAL. I do bizz-ness. PROFESS-SSION-NAL ey.
Cmon, it's called professional work ethics. The only difference between Amazon and GembyGems is that GBG is new, while Amazon has been there for a very long time. Hehe, a stark comparison, but you get the drift. It is unfair to assume that a business is untrustable based on the pretext that it is a newcomer. From my experience, it is these new businesses that truly understand every individual customer's needs. They are new, and they want to make a good name and reputation for themselves. Plus we're talking jewellery, precious gemstones, gold and all leh…not some "get rich quick" downloadable handbook.

Really meh?

I would have no qualms in purchasing from GembyGems because it's owned by friends of mine. I feel comfortable relating my needs and wants to them (they're very friendly and approachable, trust me), and definitely feel safe and secure in trusting them to ensure a quality and worthwhile delivery. Wouldn't you feel the same too? Sure they're not your friends, but Nokia/Microsoft/Converse/Nike/Starhub/blah blah aren't your friends too right? But why do you trust any of them?

I say, give a chance for GBG to prove to you their sincerity, credibility and service quality. Oh, talking about credibility, they have more than 10 years of experience in the jewellery industry. It is only now that they are branching their services online.

Okay Khairul. I'm quite convinced. How now?

Oh my god, you've come all the way here. You sure are one tough reader! Bleargh. Just to show you how friendly the peeps are over at GembyGems, here are links to the various  "Intro to Gems for Dummies" articles available over at their website: diamond education, fancy colours, ring settings.

See how committed they are to enhance a customer's experience? There are much more over at their website, so hop on to GemByGems la! And don't forget to place an order!

Spread the word. Spread the love.
