It's been some time since I last got a shoe, and my old Kickers has gaps already and when its raining or there happens to be water puddles, my inside will get soiled too!
I headed for town today, and met up with Johann there (He was there to kaobei the Lucky Plaza uncle who conned him of a PSP battery). Okay long story cut short, here's my loot:
This is the type of shoes that I prefer, something multipurpose. I can wear this with long pants/jeans or with shorts/bermudas. The one I got is a Hush Puppies KI8620BR with Bounce technology. Heh I don't know if that Bounce technology is for real, but I tell you this shoe is DAMN BLARDY COMFY!!!!
The insides are lined with Genuine Sheepskin (Particular Muslims don't need to worry about Pig Skin lining or anything non-halal), and it's soo soft and supple, it feeels soooooooooooo goood. Very well cushioned and greatly contoured, I hope I'll be able to walk for hours on this thing and hopefully not experience any discomfort. The soles are grippy and the shoes are flexible. I'm telling you, you've gotta try it out.
Initially I was attracted to this Renoma shoes, very stylo-milo but then not so comfortable. It's like there's minimal padding for maximum comfort. So yeah, I am very happy with my buy. It's going for a 20% discount at Metro Paragon. Oh and if you need to know, Metro's having a storewide 50% discount sale from the signboard i saw at its entrance.
In my opinion, Hush Puppies makes the most comfortable shoes ever man. No wonder the SPF sponsors its employees with Hush Puppies shoes! That way, policemen can experience their 12hr shifts comfortably (at this point, please laugh).

I was also about to tell ya about da pig lining thing I heard available widely at Hush Puppies, but luckily u mentioned ‘kambing biri-biri’ skin.

Yeah but it got me thinking, the pigskin has been tanned and process and treated with chemicals and all, are we sure we still can’t wear it?
Is it still considered dirty/unclean? Why is pig considered dirty/unclean in the first place?
What happens if in the future, ALL leather shoes are lined with pigskin?

Yes it’s cheaper.
They culled so many pigs bec. of the HM1 virus thingy, so might as well make use of the skin. lol. Okay crap, but yes pigskin is cheaper.

Haiz… maybe cos MUIS still say haram, haram lah… unless one day they really prove to us that it’s halal to wear pig lining.
I don’t have the answer to ur questions but in general pigs consume almost everything, even their own faeces & their own young… so hygiene & health-wise I don’t think it’s gd idea to have these in our bodies, so dat makes it haram… maybe?

oouh MUIS got say ah? I dunno leh. But it’s been tanned and chemically processed, so it’s unclean-ness is gone.
Plus it’s not like it’s in our bodies. It’s on our feet.
