The best part is that Gravatars just like WordPress are a part of Automattic. In the past, Gravatars were slow to load up and not consistent, now they are much much stable. Enjoy it! You also need a plugin to actually get the gravatars to load up, but with 2.5 coming up, I think they will include it in the WordPress API. I have Gravatars in my blog too.
