Time to recontract, and with student funds, decided to go for the LG Viewty over the Nokia N82. I like to touch touch

Yes it's the dark silver edition. I've been using it for a few days now, and it feels great. It works great.
My friend's gf's sister (now that's confusing) complains that hers is laggy. But I haven't experienced such terrible lagginess in my set yet, well the interface is A BIT laggy (there's no perfect phone, come on!), but the smsing speed matches to that of the standard Nokia keypads.
Picture and video clarity's great. If you want to post-process your images, you can even do it in the phone itself. This can also be done for videos. Note that you can also slow down your videos so that they appear in slow motion! Yeah cool, you never when you'll need that kind of feature.
One thing I dislike about it is its flash though. There's no way to activate it manually. It's either off, auto or red-eye reduction mode. I can't set the flash to switch on permanently.
Another thing I don't like is the location of the 'C' or Cancel button. It's located towards the bottom of the phone, in the centre. So if you make a mistake in typing, long-thumbed people like me would have some trouble since you hafta acutely bend your thumb.
Google Maps works great too. Initially I had troubles because it wasn't set properly. If you need to solve this:
1. Go to 'My Games and Apps'
2. Choose 'Settings'
3. Go to the 'Options' icon (the one with 3 bars), then 'Add New'.
4. Type a service name. For me, I typed "Kaki". Hahahaha.
5. Under 'Connection mode', choose 'TCP Without Proxy'.
6. Under 'Access points', choose 'Gee! 3G GPRS'. (Note this is for Starhub users)
7. Save your settings and you're done!
I wonder how expensive the GPRS data rate charges are…because loading Google Maps is so heart wrenching. I see so many 90-100+kb loaded per movement of my cursor. Whoa I'm so dead lah. I'm not gonan touch Google Maps already.
Starhub! Why can't you make GPRS data rates free? Sigh, I guess the phone's working alright for now. I'll post up pictures of captured images soon. If there are problems, pretty sure I'm gonna bitch about it in here.

Anna: Ever wondered how it works? You can pay a visit to LG shop down at Vivocity to try out the interface. It’s really cool, much better than the iPhone IMO, though without the huge memory.

Nobody bothered to mention abt its standby time. Its damn low and I’m forced to charge everyday & at times twice too, when I use WAP browser. Otherwise …. its great

Do anyone think, it has some kinda software problem to post such low charge levels?

Sekhar: I think you should get your set/battery checked. I’m not very sure, I don’t use WAP/GPRS because it’s so effing expensive.
