Hello people :)

I read today’s paper and there was an article about our prime minister asking for more “Tiger” babies this year.

Wait. So the Tiger year just started, and assuming the man doesn’t encounter roadblocks to his lovemaking quest (maybe an opposing wife, or wrong mood wrong time wrong place, blah blah)…there’s still time. 9 months gestation period, means your “Tiger” baby would be born right around November?

That’s is too much to ask for, don’t you think. I don’t think it’s too late, but the problem are just we Singaporeans.

“Okay so you want Tiger baby? Sure I’ll give it to you FOR A PRICE.”

Our birth rate sucks man, we don’t have enough young to replace the old. This is troubling because we keep on complaining the government does little for Citizens, but how have we really helped Singapore? If we had enough children with world class education (ahem. Give benefit of the doubt) and facilities, equipped with skills and knowledge of the time, would we still need to beg for foreign talent to sustain our economy?

“Baby bonus so little. I have to spend more leh to bring up the child. Later he university how, I’m retired by then!”

I believe the government will do what they can. That’s why citizens get subsidised housing, education blah blah, everything subsidised. Yet we complain. So you want more? Okay so let’s say the govt. says “Alright, you’ll have FREE education now!” And then after a few years, people get unhappy and now demand for free housing. It is always not enough, and when will we stop?

In my eyes, I see future Singaporeans as losers. We would have a homeland called Singapore, but there won’t be any Singaporeans in it. Even if there was, they would probably be those who can’t afford to get out of the country. And then, other countries will brand us as IMPOTENT PEOPLE.

I think the problem is that we ARE NOT SINGAPOREAN ENOUGH. We are rootless, chasing wealth for survival, so we don’t care where we live in. Nationality doesn’t bother us, we see foreigners everywhere.

SINGAPOREANS ARE ENDANGERED SPECIES. Don’t we feel special now?
