Man, how long has it been since I last talked about something useful…months? years?
I think Facebook comments/discussions don’t really generate good traffic. Only your friends or your friends-friends can see your comments. That’s so limited.
With a blog, just about any readers can read and track your posts and comments. On a mobile phone, you don’t need apps, all you need is a web browser to visit that weblog and interact.
Many are now gearing up for HTML5, Safari and Firefox and a whole shitruck of others are ready and standing by, apps are soon to be replaced by the web browser again.
No need for an app development team for Iphone, Blackberry or Android. You just need one web development team. I think existing small, webapps-related companies should restructure themselves to anticipate the coming future so that they can make the switch quickly.
Oh and I think one obvoius way of generating traffic is to have an opinion, and to make sure it conflicts with another’s. With that you generate discussion. When it becomes heated, you get unhappiness. People spread their stories, other people come to visit you, and it restarts over again :)
So I should just state whatever, even if it means not doing my research.
What I’m trying to say is: Okay Miss.Blog, I apologise for having ignored you. I will pick you up again and use you like I did in the past.
I will start with using a new theme (since this current one SUCKS TO THE MAXOR). And then I will feed you useful posts (and I hope insightful. can’t count on that!) and hopefully, people who used to read you would come back and read you again.
Sorry for dumping you the other time over Miss Facebook and Miss Twitter.
Hey wait, is there a service that allows you to blog, and post it on Twitter automatically? Short blogposts of course, within the 140 character limit. I mean it’s kinda shitty to blog in 140 characters, but it’s still something (or maybe a waste of DB space).
What do you think?
