Anyone know what hemorrhoids are? I didn't know what they were, until I Wiki-ed them on my browser!

Well, look to your left. Now you have an overview of what hemorrhoids are, and where they're located. Every human body has two hemorrhoids, an internal one, and an external one.

The internal hemorrhoids lack pain receptors, so even if it is irritated (through hard stools) and bleeds, you don't feel any pain. Therefore, it is very hard to identify if it's actually affected. If untreated, can lead to more severe conditions:

• Prolapsed hemorrhoids are internal hemorrhoids that are so distended that they are pushed outside the anus.

• If the anal sphincter muscle goes into spasm and traps a prolapsed hemorrhoid outside the anal opening, the supply of blood is cut off, and the hemorrhoid becomes a strangulated hemorrhoid.

Just recently I blogged about my dad's friend who underwent a surgery to remove his cancer-infested colon. Well, good news is that he's recovering well now Just that he has to go for regular chemotherapy sessions to keep the tumour at bay (or maybe even kill it? I'm not sure)

But today's talk is about another type of cancer: Prostate cancer. Guys should be very afraid. Especially cyclist enthusiasts (Like me). Those long hours on the saddle could be detrimental on your erm…"mister's" health.

Prostate cancer, also known scientifically as "adenocarcinoma", is the most common non-skin cancer in men and the third leading cause of male cancer deaths. In this type of cancer, the spread begins in the gland cells. It's very hard for doctors to predict when you do or do not have cancer. Even if they do identify it, the growth of the tumour might already be in it's later stage.  Therefore, it is important to look out for prostate cancer symptoms.

But what do you do, if let's say, you're diagnosed with it? Get treatment? Which one? HIFU!

Why Do I Have Cravings During PMS?

Ever since the start of the Ramadhan fasting month, my body has been getting heaty and I've been developing ulcers in my mouth. Ouch! It can't be helped, no matter how much water I drink to cool down my body. Plus, I can only drink so much, man.

My dad's friend was diagnosed with colon cancer, and had his operation recently, which removed 80% of his large intestines. So basically he has very irregular bowels now. He also needs to go for regular chemotherapy sessions. Poor lad. He's one of the nicest guys around.
