This goes out to the Apple fanboys out there! I was one of you, though not a hardcore one. But I swore that my iPhone 3g would last me for more than my 2 years contract.

Boy I was wrong. It lasted me 1 year before I switched over to my current Motorola Milestone. Two days back, Singtel sent me an email saying that I could buy the iPhone4 and have my $300 penalty waived.

WHAT?

Why should I buy an inferior product in the first place? I’m sure you’ve heard all the Jango Fett about the reception issues. Not an issue to you? Well, it’s still an inferior product! Go and buy a second class product and be a second class consumer.

Secondly, multitasking. Iphone apps must be written and developed to accept multitasking. For me, this means an inferior OS. It’s pretty simple really. I want to be able to download ANY app and have it multitasked-ready. How many developers out there are going to upgrade their product to make it multitaskable? Willing to pay?

Thirdly, the iOS is closed source. I’m so sorry Apple fanboys, this means lesser market share => less profits => less inferior products => More Android phone sales => Android RULES. Phone manufacturers want flexibility and option to produce their own “version” of an OS without having to develop one, and Google has made this possible with Android. Phone manufacturers want profits, sales volume and consumer preference. Android allows them to tailor new apps/system functionalities that makes their products stand out differently from the other competitors at LOW COST. This means CHEAPER phones for you consumers.

So you can jailbreak your iPhone? Go ahead and play the waiting game over and over again ;) Go wait for a compatible jailbreak patch, and wait, and try and fail, and wait :D

There’s more but I shall stop here. Well if you want to know what I’m using my iPhone 3g for now, well it’s basically an iPod touch to me now. Fun for entertainment ONLY.

I own the 1000H, so that gives me some HDD space to put in linux. Well, I installed Ubunty 8.04 Hardy, but sadly it doesn’t fully function out of the box with your eeePC.

When I installed Ubuntu Hardy right from the dvd, my wireless couldn’t function. Nor did my camera and some other stuffs.

So what do you have to do? Well, I solved my problems with a custom eeePC kernel package designed specifically for eeePC and Ubuntu Linux.

I’m talking about Array.org, a good place to start your development.

They’ll take you through the whole process via their tutorial. It’s easy peasy, jsut copy-paste their instructions and you’ll get your eeePC Linux running up in no time!

But beware, Linux doesn’t have excellent power management utilities like Windows. So your battery life will SUCK. My eeePC roughly gets 5 hours on Windows, but 2.5 hours on Linux.

Anyway, good luck!

Hey Troy. When’s the big game?
Erm, yesterday?
Well good luck! Toodles!

I need a pair of bud earphones for use with my PSP and laptop. I wanted to get the Audio Technicas, because I’ve used a few products before and they’re good!

But then i saw this iSecureFit Metallic Earphones. It claims to have:

Ultra Light Weight (Yeah it’s light alright)

SecureFit stays in ear while exercising (Yeah, very snug fit)

Powerful Neodymium Magnetic Bass Driven Sound (Too much bass, can’t hear treble. Muffled. Clarity sucks)

Constructed with durable metallic materials (Construction looks sibei solid and fierce)

Includes 3 pairs of soft sleeves (I can’t find these anywhere in the package!!!! Did I get cheated?!)

Noise Canceling (I don’t think something that costs $9.90 comes with noise cancellation)

Sound Isolating (For sure, I agree)

Listen comfortable at lower volumes even in loud environments (True, but sound quality sucks. Over bass and no treble man)

For the new iPod Nano “completely remastered” black (Err, I tried on my old iRiver mp3 player, and there’s no bass! Sound quality sucks once again)

I feel cheated of my $9.90. But then again, who ask me go and waste money on something I don’t trust? See lah Khairul. Next time, go for something more expensive and a more trustworthy brand!

NBCCBWTFBBQ!@%!*@^(!&#(!&#!)& I’m not gonna use this thing.
